Olivia Lum
Executive Chairman & Group CEOMs Lum started corporate life as a chemist with Glaxo Pharmaceutical and left in 1989 to start up Hydrochem (S) Pte Ltd, the precursor to Hyflux Ltd. Managing the Group for more than 20 years now, Ms Lum is the driving force behind Hyflux's growth and business expansion, and is responsible for policy and strategy formulation and corporate direction.
A former Nominated Member of Singapore Parliament, Ms Lum currently is a member of the Singapore-Tianjin Economic & Trade Council, the Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council, Singapore-Zhejiang Economic & Trade Council, Singapore-Oman Business Council and Singapore Business Federation Council. She also sits on the board at International Enterprise Singapore.
Among the many accolades Ms Lum has received for her entrepreneurial achievements are: the Winner of the Regional Growth Award by Nihon Keizai Shimbun at the 11th Nikkei Asia Prize 2006, and the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011.
Ms Lum holds an Honours degree in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore.
Sam Ong
Group Senior Executive Vice President and Group Deputy CEOMr Ong is Group Senior Executive Vice President and Group Deputy CEO of Hyflux Ltd. He spearheads Hyflux's business development in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, which is a major and growing market for Hyflux, and the expansion of the Group's business beyond existing key markets.
Mr Ong joined Hyflux in September 2006 as Group Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer (CIO). He headed the overall investment activities for the Hyflux Group as well as joint ventures management, legal, mergers and acquisitions, risk management as well as corporate and investor relations. In 2007, he was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in addition to his responsibilities as CIO. He relinquished his CIO portfolio upon assuming the position of Group Deputy CEO and CFO in January 2008.
In January 2011, he relinquished his CFO responsibilities to focus on growing the Group's presence in the MENA market. He also oversees the South East Asian and Australian markets.
In the 18 years prior to joining Hyflux, Mr Ong held global and Asia Pacific leadership positions in the USA and in Singapore, ranging from treasury and finance, pension fund investment, strategic planning, project financing to business development.
Mr Ong holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Alberta, Canada and an MBA from Drake University, USA.
Gary Kee
Non-Executive Non-Independent Director & Executive Director, Corporate FinanceMr Kee has been a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of Hyflux Ltd since May 2011. He is a member of the Risk Management and Investment Committees. As Executive Director, Corporate Finance, Mr Kee also oversees the corporate finance, treasury, investments and information technology departments at Hyflux.
Mr Kee was the Chief Executive Officer of the Trustee-Manager and Non-Independent Executive Director of Hyflux Water Trust Management Pte Ltd. Prior to that, he held numerous senior regional management positions in Finance, Operations and Strategic Business Development in his 23 year tenure at Hewlett Packard. He last served as Director, Head of Strategy and Corporate Development for Asia Pacific & Japan.
Before joining Hewlett Packard, Mr Kee was a Management Consultant with Arthur Andersen Associates (now known as Accenture). Mr Kee has also served as a Board Director of various companies and JTC Corporation.
Mr Kee holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in Canada and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington in the USA.
Lim Suat Wah
Group Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial OfficerMs Lim was appointed Group Executive Vice President and Group CFO of Hyflux Ltd in May 2013. As Group CFO, she oversees the Group's finance activities including corporate finance, treasury, reporting, accounting, tax and capital management.
Ms Lim joined Hyflux in January 2011 as Senior Vice President, Finance where she was responsible for the full spectrum of the Group's financial accounting and reporting activities globally.
Prior to joining Hyflux, Ms Lim spent 23 years with Hewlett Packard where she held various senior management positions in Finance spanning controllership and business finance in country, regional and global roles. She last served as Senior Director, Head of Finance for Singapore, South East Asia and Asian Emerging Countries.
Ms Lim graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University on a merit scholarship from the Overseas Union Bank. She completed the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme in 2002.
Winnifred Heap
Group Senior Executive Vice President and CEO IndiaMs Heap is Group Senior Executive Vice President and CEO India. Ms Heap heads the Group's business development and operations in India, which is a growing market for Hyflux. She also oversees Hyflux's capital markets, investor relations and corporate communications.
Prior to joining Hyflux, Ms Heap was with HSBC Securities in Singapore before moving to JP Morgan Securities Singapore Pte Ltd where she was promoted to Head of Singapore Equity Research in 2007. Ms Heap brings to Hyflux 20 years of experience and comprehensive understanding of industry-wide knowledge, particularly in the research of offshore and marine, logistics, and conglomerate companies listed on the SGX-ST. Her knowledge and experience has earned her accolades from institutional investors and she has been consistently voted as the top ranking sector analyst. In addition, Ms Heap has also established strong relationships with investors and corporations across various industries.
Ms Heap holds a Bachelor in Science (Honours) and Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, USA.
Oon Jin Teik
Group Executive Vice President and CEO, ChinaMr Oon joined Hyflux Ltd on 1 January 2011 as Group Executive Vice President and CEO China and is based in Shanghai, China. Mr Oon heads the Group's business development and operations in China, which is a major and growing market for Hyflux. He is also involved in strategic planning and establishing networks with the government and business sectors.
In the 20 years prior to joining Hyflux, he has shown his versatility in adapting to and excelling in different environments: DuPont Co, National Starch & Chemical Co, and Singapore Sports Council.
As CEO of the Singapore Sports Council, Mr Oon led the conceptualisation, development, and implementation of the Singapore Sports Hub, touted as the world's largest and most complex social infrastructure public-private partnership project, with a net present value of almost S$2 billion. Under his leadership, the Singapore sports industry exceeded S$1 billion in economic returns. He was also instrumental in helping Singapore bid, win, and host the F1 Singapore Grand Prix and the inaugural 2010 Youth Olympic Games. He was a Board member for several organisations.
While working in USA and Singapore for DuPont, Mr Oon turned around business units in Asia Pacific and also held positions in segment leadership, strategic planning, marketing, sales, and manufacturing in various industries. At National Starch & Chemical, he led the Asia Pacific Nutrition business, as well as the Customer Solution & Product Innovation group.
Mr Oon holds a BSc Chemical Engineering and MBA from Brigham Young University, USA. In 2006, he was nominated by the Public Service Division in the Prime Minister's Office to attend the Singapore government's 6th Leaders in Administration Programme for senior civil servants.
Dr Andrew Ngiam
Group Executive Vice President and Group Chief Operating OfficerDr Ngiam is Group Executive Vice President and Group Chief Operating Officer of Hyflux Ltd. He oversees Hyflux Group's global project execution, operations and maintenance and engineering resources.
With over 30 years of professional experience in operations management, project execution, strategy development and implementation, business development and technology development, Dr Ngiam has been known as one of the veterans of the subsea hydrocarbons industry internationally. Prior to joining the Group, Dr Ngiam was the Senior Vice President, INTECSEA (Asia & Middle East) and a Director of several WorleyParsons companies in Singapore.
Dr Ngiam holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is a registered Professional Engineer of Singapore and Australia. He is also a Corporate Member of the Institutions of Engineers, Singapore and Australia and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Peter Wu
Group Senior Managing Director and CEO, Galaxy NewSpringMr Wu is Group Senior Managing Director, Head of China Municipal Projects of Hyflux Ltd and CEO of Galaxy NewSpring, a joint venture between Hyflux and Mitsui & Co to invest in and operate a portfolio of municipal water projects in China. Mr Wu leads the business development, engineering, procurement and construction, and operation of municipal water projects in China. He is involved in strategic planning, establishment of networks with government and business sectors, negotiation as well as managing the optimisation of plant operations in China.
Mr Wu has 24 years of working experience mainly in the petrochemical, chemical and water industries. His expertise has been gained through various positions in sales, marketing, business development, operations and maintenance as well as business planning with international exposure and long-term overseas assignments in Hong Kong, China, and USA.
Mr Wu holds a Master of Business Administration (Financial Management) from the University of Wales, Bangor, and a Master of Philosophy and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong.
Kum Mun Lock
Senior Managing DirectorMr Kum is Senior Managing Director of Hyflux. He is responsible for business development in key markets in the Middle East and Africa, strategic acquisition opportunities and investments in new technologies. Prior to his current role, he was involved in investor relations and capital markets in Hyflux.
Mr Kum has 11 years of private equity experience with a Singapore government-owned investment company. He was responsible for private equity investments, fund investments and the financial matters of the group. He also spent 3 years in external auditing with an international public accounting firm.
Mr Kum has a Master's degree in Business Administration (Asia Pacific Executive MBA) from the National University of Singapore and Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Gu Jia Long
Senior AdvisorMr Gu is Senior Advisor to the Executive Chairman and Group CEO of Hyflux Ltd. He provides counsel in the overall business strategy and finance and investment for Hyflux's operations in China. In addition, Mr Gu also provides support to the start-ups of all Hyflux's business units in China and the expansion of business practice thereof, as well as the coordination among the business units for higher efficiency in management especially in terms of human resource, administration, safety and teamwork.
Mr Gu has more than 40 years of experience in technology management, human resource and finance within a broad range of industries prior to joining Hyflux in 1999 as the General Manager of Hydrochem Engineering (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., which has since experienced rapid growth under his management.
Mr Gu graduated in 1964 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from He Fei University of Technology in China.
Foo Hee Kiang
AdvisorMr Foo is Advisor to the Executive Chairman and Group CEO of Hyflux Ltd. In this role, he continues to be responsible for industry relations and business collaborations. In addition, he will work on new technologies and other related areas.
Mr Foo is one of the pioneers who has contributed significantly to Hyflux's growth from a small enterprise to a global environmental solutions provider. He has played a key role in many facets of the company's business, including its marketing and sales, engineering, operations plus expansion and entry into the MENA market since joining Hyflux in 1998. Prior to his current role, Mr Foo served as Group Executive Vice President of Industry Relations & Commercial Contracts on top of heading up the Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Department.
Mr Foo holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the National University of Singapore.
