Key Management Committee

Hyflux’s Key Management Committee is responsible for driving the Group’s strategic vision, formulating business plans to achieve business goals, creating the conditions for successful day-to-day operation and delivering long-term value for all stakeholders.

Olivia Lum

Executive Chairman & Group Chief Executive Officer

Ms Lum is the Executive Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer. She heads the Board’s Investment Committee and is a member of the Nominating Committee.

Ms Lum started corporate life as a chemist with Glaxo Pharmaceutical and left in 1989 to start up Hydrochem (S) Pte Ltd, the precursor to Hyflux Ltd. Managing the Group for 25 years now, Ms Lum is the driving force behind Hyflux's growth and business expansion, and is responsible for policy and strategy formulation as well as corporate direction.

A former Nominated Member of the Singapore Parliament, Ms Lum is currently a member of the Singapore-Tianjin Economic & Trade Council, the Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council, the Singapore-Zhejiang Economic & Trade Council, the Singapore-Oman Business Council and the Singapore Business Federation Council. She also sits on the boards of International Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd and Singapore Mediation Centre.

Ms Lum has received many accolades for her entrepreneurial achievements including the Nikkei Asia Prize for Regional Growth 2006, the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011 and the Financial Times ArcelorMittal Boldness in Business Award 2011 for Entrepreneurship.

Ms Lum holds an Honours degree in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore.

  • Gary Kee

Gary Kee

Executive Director

Mr Kee is an Executive Director and a member of the Board’s Investment Committee. Mr Kee assumed the role of Executive Director in May 2013 and oversees the internal audit department at Hyflux.

Mr Kee was the Chief Executive Officer of the Trustee-Manager and Non-Independent Executive Director of Hyflux Water Trust Management Pte Ltd. Prior to that, he held numerous senior regional management positions in Finance, Operations and Strategic Business Development in his 23 year tenure at Hewlett Packard. He last served as Director, Head of Strategy and Corporate Development for Asia Pacific & Japan.

Before joining Hewlett Packard, Mr Kee was a Management Consultant with Arthur Andersen Associates (now known as Accenture). Mr Kee has also served as a Board Director of various companies and JTC Corporation.

Mr Kee holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in Canada and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington in the USA.

  • Winnifred Heap

Winnifred Heap

Group Senior EVP

Ms Heap is Group Senior Executive Vice President. She is responsible for corporate communications, marketing, channel sales and infrastructure. Ms Heap joined Hyflux in 2009 and previously served as Group Executive Vice President where she headed the Group’s business development and operations in India, investor relations and corporate communications.

Prior to joining Hyflux, Ms Heap was with HSBC Securities in Singapore before moving to JP Morgan Securities Singapore Pte Ltd where she was promoted to Head of Singapore Equity Research in 2007. Ms Heap brings to Hyflux 20 years of experience and comprehensive understanding of industry-wide knowledge, particularly in the research of offshore and marine, logistics, and conglomerate companies listed on the SGX-ST. Her knowledge and experience has earned her accolades from institutional investors and she has been consistently voted as the top ranking sector analyst. In addition, Ms Heap has also established strong relationships with investors and corporations across various industries.

Ms Heap holds a Bachelor in Science (Honours) and Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, USA.

  • Lim Suat Wah

Lim Suat Wah

Group EVP & Group Chief Financial Officer

Ms Lim was appointed Group Executive Vice President and Group CFO of Hyflux Ltd in May 2013. As Group CFO, she oversees the Group's finance activities including corporate finance, treasury, reporting, accounting, capital management, investment and investor relations, and information technology department.

Ms Lim joined Hyflux in January 2011 as Senior Vice President, Finance where she was responsible for the full spectrum of the Group's financial accounting and reporting activities globally.

Prior to joining Hyflux, Ms Lim spent 23 years with Hewlett Packard where she held various senior management positions in Finance spanning controllership and business finance in country, regional and global roles. She last served as Senior Director, Head of Finance for Singapore, South East Asia and Asian Emerging Countries.

Ms Lim graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University on a merit scholarship from the Overseas Union Bank. She completed the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme in 2002.

  • Wong Lup Wai

Wong Lup Wai

Group EVP & Group Chief Operating Officer

Mr Wong is Group Executive Vice President and Group Chief Operating Officer. He oversees the Group's global projects design, execution, and operations and maintenance portfolio; manufacturing of membranes and membrane standard systems; and quality, environment, health and safety; and logistics.

Mr Wong spent 25 years with Philips Electronics Singapore, including a three-year stint at Philip's joint venture factory in Suzhou, China where he had global roles in general management, operations management, project management, purchasing and innovation and development. He was the Managing Director of Philips Singapore from 2009 to 2012. Under his leadership, Philips Singapore won the inaugural Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices Exemplary Employer Award in 2010.

Mr Wong holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Master in Business Administration from the Nanyang Technological University.
